Jaehoon Jung
Jaehoon was born and grew up in Suwon, South Korea. In 2007, he moved to Cupertino, California with his family and has been living in California ever since then. He graduated from UCLA in 2023 with a Bachelor of Sciences in degree in chemistry. During his fourth year at UCLA, he joined Dr. Nava's group and worked on the synthesis of atom insertion reagents and scaffold hopping reactions in the context of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery. Continuing from his undergraduate degree from UCLA, Jaehoon is pursing a master of applied chemical sciences degree at UCLA. Currently, he is working on the synthesis of new osmium metal complexes to study PCET reactions. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games with friends, playing badminton, and video editing.
